Spawn Co-Ed Competitive Ultimate Frisbee in Fredericton**IF you missed this meeting, but want to join us email: dmcphee AT nrcan DOT gc DOT ca, fitzgeraldjamie AT yahoo DOT ca, jules_a_riffic AT yahoo DOT ca

Hi friends.

Fredericton’ s Co-Ed Competitive Club is always recruiting and we are going to be having our first OPEN meeting for anyone that is interested in finding out more about this exciting and fun opportunity.

Some of you may not be sure what your plans will be for the Summer, or you may not be interested in having “one more commitment” this year, but we still strongly encourage you to attend this meeting if you are even remotely interested in a higher level of ultimate than what our great rec league currently offers.

In an effort to make co-ed Ultimate all it can be in Fredericton, we are constantly striving to provide all players with opportunities to play all levels of Ultimate.

SPAWN, Fredericton’s co-ed competitive touring team will at time recruit depending on need, but we also like to maintain a pool of competitive players for the club’s second touring team – SOS (aka: spawn of spawn).

Competitive- level players also occasionally form open (men’s) and women’s teams to attend tournaments that only have those specific divisions. There’s so much more to this great sport than you may realize!

Fredericton can only maintain these various levels of competitive teams if we can retain a large enough pool of interested players (like you!). Remember that Ultimate skills can be taught!

PLEASE participate to our meeting, even if at this point you are just curious about the possiblities!

Details: Thursday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Nashwaaksis Fieldhouse/Middle School (Katie Marti’s classroom). We’ll meet on the stairs that enter the school from the fieldhouse unless instructed otherwise.

After a cold, but sunny weekend in Halifax the kids from freddy beach came out on top of  the other 14 teams from HURL (Halifax League), Newfoundland and regional universities.

Congrats UNB!
